Our limited selection of classes are built on the teachings of Chicago style improvisation using the methods learned from our time studying and performing at world famous comedy programs of The Second City , iO Chicago, and The Annoyance Chicago.

About the Class

2 Day Clowning Workshop + Show
w/ Grace Lusk of Gaillard Spiegeltent

Over the course of two days, you'll explore clowning, physical comedy, improvisation, and character creation in a fun, playful environment. By the end, you'll have developed your own 3-5 minute act to perform in front of an audience on the third night.

Where to start with writing sketch comedy?

In this class, you will learn techniques for developing comedic ideas and what to do with it when you have it. This includes writing exercises, breaking through writer's block, and getting an idea out of your brain and onto the page.

Writing 2: Creating Original Characters

How to develop original characters.
In this course, we will use techniques from comedy and theatre training to devise and enrich original characters. Through series of writing & performance exercises, the goal of this course is for you to leave with an original character to be used for the stage, social media, or elsewhere.

*Some comedy experience is preferred but not required.
