Rip City on A Boat

In partnership with Charleston Harbor Tours, we brought along some of Charleston’s wackiest performers for a night of comedy on the low seas (the Charleston Harbor). Part Comedy Show, Part Sunset Cruise, but all parts good time!

Keep an eye out for our next boat show or sigh up for our email list to get first crack at tickets.

Rip City At The Movies

Another great local business that we love to partner with is the Terrace Theatre. Every years we put together a collection of short films, sketches, animations, and music videos and screen them at the Terrace. It’s so awesome to see everyone’s work on the big screen and is a really special night.

Holiday Showtacular

To celebrate the holidays, we booked 5 killer bands at the Music Farm to do either holiday covers or original songs. And then comedians did bits in between the changeovers. It’s so silly and fun and overwhelmingly festive!

Don't Be An Asshole

Don't Be An Asshole

We only have one rule at our shows! 🤷‍♂️

All works at Rip City are being performed for the first time for a live audience. We invite all of our guests to simply enjoy the show without realtime commentary or judgement. Our net goal is entertainment!
Reserve your feedback for after the show! 😘

✺ Frequently asked questions ✺

  • Shows are typically the last Saturday of every month. Check out our ticket page for more accurate info.

  • Absolutely!
    The process is pretty simple.

    1. Come see the show. (it's important to see kind of what we're going for)

    2. Talk to someone afterward. (Typically the performers are hanging out after the show. Chat it up! Or find Henry or Maari, they book the show)

    3. Pick an upcoming date and pitch your idea!

  • Quite Literally, anything.

Although we started with the rule of no stand up or improv, they definitely both bleed into the work we do. If you wanted to do stand up as a character, totally fine. If you wanted to improvise but have some of it planned, sounds cool.

In the past we've had: sketch comedy, music, puppetry, burlesque, clown, drag, original videos, pole dancing, poetry, live painting, magic, theatre of the absurd, avante garde, performance art, etc, etc, etc....

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more.
